Dear Friends, John Hart, a Hopewell Valley resident in 1776, was one of the 56 original signers of the Declaration of Independence. It is one of the most recognizable statements of human rights, particularly its second sentence: 'We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.'

Dear Friends, This Gazebo resides in what locals refer to as "Gazebo Park", aka Hopewell Borough Park in Hopewell Borough. Hugh Connolly was the architect who designed this beautiful structure which is a place for both play year round and concerts in the summer. Community members organized a committee to raise the funds and volunteer their time to build a safe and creative castle play ground (adjacent to the gazebo) for their local children in 2009. Enjoy!

Dear Friends, You may recognize this frequently visited farm. Yes, it's Howell Living Farm! Farming began on this site in the 1730's. Today, farming is practiced much as it was in New Jersey during the time era of 1890-1910. Demonstrations such as plowing, maple sugaring, blacksmith workmanship, harvesting of wheat in fall or of ice at the pond in winter, are among a few events happening throughout the calendar year at Howell Living History Farm.
